Silicone Rubber
" THE RIGHT MATERIAL FOR A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS"
Silicone Polymers were developed in the late 40's and are used in many different fields because they are resistant to a wide range of temperatures and because they demonstrate excellent long-term stability, even under extreme conditions.
A wide range of outstanding properties makes this possible:
- Serviceability at temperatures ranging from -50° to +200°C.
- Special grades enable the material to be used at temperatures between -50° to +300°C.
- Maintains its physical properties throughout the temperature range.
- Excellent ageing resistance, even under extreme conditions (U.V. and ozone).
- Good resistance to a number of chemicals. (see table)
- Inert and non-toxic properties – ideal for food applications and medical devices.
- Outstanding electrical insulating properties at a wide temperature range.
- Available in a wide range of colours including transparent.
- Good bonding to a variaty of metals and plastics
